DALLAS, Texas (August 2006) – Ecom PPO.com Inc.^SM (Ecom) announces Deborah Pope will head internal audit department.

Today, governance is on the minds and lips of business leaders and stakeholders, and internal auditing is recognized as a cornerstone of strong governance. After serving five years with Ecom as DP/QA Manager, Deborah Pope has been tasked with establishing an internal audit department at Ecom.

Pope has recently become a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and will be using the guidelines and best practices set forth by the IIA to perform her duties at Ecom. The roles of internal audit include developing and executing audit programs for the evaluation of management controls and review procedures and records for adequacy; recommending improvement designed to safeguard resources, promote goals and ensures consistent performance with contractual and governmental regulations.

Pope will be actively attending local IIA meetings along with state and national meetings to learn as much as possible. In the next two years, she will be studying and preparing for the CIA exam. The CIA is the only globally recognized certification for internal auditors and it requires two years of service as an internal auditor and passing four different examinations.
